Does anyone know if the Canopus ADVC55 will work on the Vista OS?

Thanks,

It's a hardware-only device so there's no reason why it shouldn't.

@q5g2000prf.googlegroups.com:

I've got a Canopus A->DV converter, too. Aren't Canopus converters
great?

And ... as long as a computer has a firewire connection and as long as
the computer has some sort of software application to capture DV, any
firewire analog to DV converters will work on any computer: Any Windows
from 98SE onward, Any Mac for many years back, Any Linux ... just about
any popular operating system.

The only problem you would encounter with Vista is compatibility with
your present version of your capture software and/or your editing
software. It's possible that your present version may not work well.
You'll have to check the web site for your software. With any luck,
they'll have a Vista compatible upgrade for free or, at least, at a low
price.
