Capture wma stream
Posted by Georges Heinesch on January 30th, 2004

Hi.

I would like to capture a .wma or .asx stream. When I click on the link,
Windows Media Player 9 plays the sound, but I'm not able to record it. I
didn't find any temp files on the harddisk holding the sound data. I
checked Google but didn't find any software able to do that.

I tried 2 Download Managers (LeechGet and NetTransport), but none was
able to do the job.

As an example, here one of the links I'd like to record:
http://webtools.isp.lu/dnrlive/dnr3.asx

Thanks for any help.

also Total Recorder at http://www.highcriteria.com/

Note also that many modern sound cards support recording
anything that plays on your computer.

I came across Super Mp3 Recorder Pro (http://www.supermp3recorder.com)
the other day I surfed Internet. It should be what you may need.

I have mp3 recorder pro but that isn't going to solve your problem. You can
plug in a lead from your speaker out to a device and capture the stream in
analog. I connected my speaker socket out on my sound card to analog in on
my GV-D900 miniDV tape deck. It worked very well. You can connect your sound
card to your camera and then bring it back into your computer over a digital
1394 connection.
