- Conversion programs ...FREE?
- Posted by Anthona on April 27th, 2008
What a joke that these software company's are..The advertise as Free
this and free that ...but then they zap you with a price. Sure its a
free download, but u can't use it fully..does anyone know of a program
that does convert FLV file to mpg, that is a 100% free, like in the
old days of the internet? I only have on file that i would like to
upload to a web site, but it needs to be converted...Not going to
spend $39 for a program that I may not ever use again and take up the
pile of programs that I had paid for and either are obsolete, company
bankrupt and etc to add to my collections.

It does uninstall itself cleanly when you've finished with it,
especially if you use XP, & set a restore point before installation. ;-)
Freeware, but it has some bad habits in that it likes to leave some
network ports open & logs onto the writers' website when you start it.
It's just turned a 12.3 Mb .flv into a 48.8Mb VCD compatible mpeg1 file,
though, in quite a good time.
