creating multiple dvd copies using dvd shrink?
Posted by aaronep@pacbell.net on June 7th, 2008

I am using the RE AUTHOR mode of DVD Shrink to make a copy of a movie
that has been
saved on my XP Computer's hard drive. Each time it has been necessary
to encode the
file before burning onto a blank dvd disk. I have used the BACKUP
menu after accessing the RE AUTHOR menu.

This encoding procedure is time consuming.

My question, therefore, : Is it possible to make multiple copies of
a single backup using only one instruction without having to re-encode
for each copy?

Best, Aaron

Will that software allow you to make an ISO image?

If so, then you can burn multiple copies from it...

Select Backup, then select iso image.

Then burn using your favourite software.

Absolutely. There's the "make an iso" method already discussed, as well
as:

1) Just backup to a folder on your hard drive, and use something like
Nero to make multiple copies of a DVD using those source files.

2) Just use a disc copier on the first disc you made with DVD Shrink.
It has been decoded, so a simple disc copy will work.
