Digital Rain

I am looking to make rain digitally. I need to add it in post.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a tutorial, or program, video
application, etc. I would be greatly appreciative.

BorisFX has a sophisticated rain generator that allows control over numerous
parameters such as angle, speed, depth, opacity etc. and even allows for an
interaction (splashes) on a separate object layer. Check it out at
