Hi,

I have just updated some motion picture sound mixing software and could
use some help field testing it, i.e. "Beta Testers" wanted. This
program revision is "free" and you can use this revision (DANCAD3D.EXE
v3.7N Nov 27, 2006) to make motion picture sound tracks as it is able.

It is possable to "decompile" AVI files using a AVI decompiler or AVI
extractor into BMP files for editing with this system, then to
Aggregate the edited frames from each shot into a set of BMP files and
to combine that with the mixed WAV sound in a AVI compiler to make an
edited AVI file that can be converted into an MPG file with some third
party converter.

The sound mixer used a spred sheet format to set the gain for each
audio track. There can be up to 256 tracks for each of the up to 10000
shots in the film. There can also be up to 256 tracks that run the
full length of the project accros the cuts. So there can be up ta 521
tracks at any given point. The output goes into up to 16 tracks so you
can mix more than one language at the same time and take some of the
channels for one mix and some of the other channels for another mix.
Disk space may limit the length or number of some tracks.

Each channel has its own noise gate, and there are 32 compressor
limiters to keep from overgaining the mix and to have the background
sound float down when people are talking or there are loud effects that
need to stand out.

The program can play back double system reduced resolution image frames
on the computer's screen in sync with the mixed audio playing on a
second computer using SMPTE LTC sync in master or slave, to produce a
24fps digital workprint and editing system. The edits can be entered
in the Edit list spread sheet to edit the film. Once edited the
2048x1536x24bpp high resolution images can be feed to another program
called DANCINEL.EXE v1.01 (tm) to produce a 35mm print or printing
negative that matches the edits and the mixed sound track.
