hello good people,
I am in need of some assistance and hope to find some kind folks here
who can walk a computer idiot through a coupla things
I have 'Studio 8' software and want to take video from a DVD and
convert it to a format editable using 'Studio 8'
I believe it supports AVI and MPEG but I dont know which of those is
the best quality?
I'm hoping that someone who reads this has experience with 'Studio 8'
and can be of kind assistance please.

imo.. look for DV Type 2 avi and render to that from the dvd.

although not mutually exclusive to the definitions, DV is an editing format
and mpeg4 is a delivery format.
iow.. you would work with DV clips in your editor then render to mpeg4 if
there is a purpose for that codec
