A friend of mine is trying to create a video on his Sony Vaio laptop.
He has a Pinnacle Linx and Studio 8 and has managed to capture and edit
the video. He now finds that there's no path from his laptop to the
VCR. (I think most people burn VCDs or DVDs. For various reasons he
needs to record onto a VCR.)
What he needs now is the most cost-effective way to accomplish this.
He could replace the Linx for another Pinnacle product, but the only
one that meets his requirements (as far as I can tell) is the Dazzle 150,
which is out of his price range. (He's retired -- fixed income.) I've
looked at other Dazzle solutions, but the ones I've found are input only.
It's a laptop, or this would be easy -- replace the video card.
I've proposed that he send me the project and I'll render it on my
own machine (I have video out) but he really wants to do it himself.
All suggestions welcome. (Including "you can't get there from here",
if that's the answer.)
