I ordered a Replica 1 Video Stabiliser from Lectropacks.

Macrovision is removed so I can back up my cerebral UFC tapes, but the
picture is not sharp at all? Is the normal?

If there is no Macrovision on the original then the output shimmers.

Also sometimes when the Stabiliser is switched to a new video source
(pressing PLAY for example) it completely loses the plot and it looks
something like how NTSC looks on a Pal TV but with washed out colours.

It gets red of Macrovision but doesnt do "better than original" type
copies. I suspect something is wrong. But I also suspect If I go to the
hassle of exchanging the new unit will be similar.

Any ideas?
