Here is "ALL" that I want this box to do:

1. Attach to a camcorder via firewire (iLink, DV cable)
2. Have a hard drive to store up to 25GB of camcorder A/V tape
3. Allow me to burn two (UN-EDITED) copies of the A/V
tape from the camcorder to DVD-R.

This burner/player will only be used to make TWO copies
of either a 1 hour (SP) or 1.5 hour (LP) MiniDV tape or a
similar take from a Digital-8 camcorder to DVD-Rs.

I will NEVER edit the tape, whatsoever.

I will buy new or used. (NTSC)

A DVD / VCR combo is OK, but prefer a DVD only.

Do not want to pay over $300 for a new one.

One that is KNOWN to work reliably with Sony camcorders
is a plus for sure.


So what Make & Model number to buy?
LOL - I know the generic answers, I need Make & Model :-)
