I don't quite understand some of your comments. As the DVI output, are you referring to the connection of your computer to your computer monitor? I thought all Sony's have an IEEE-1394 Firewire port....

if you want to go to a specific part in the movie when playing it back you will only go to the nearest keyframe so if it is set to 8 secs you might go 8 secs late or early or anything in between! it...
