Not sure how much this will help, but in order to play the output from After
Effects on a DVD player you need to import it into a program which can
created a DVD in the required format.
After Effects (in it's own right) can not create DVD's. It can only create
files (such as AVI,MOV etc) which can be imported into a DVD authoring
program.

the DVD.. any idea? and what format I should output with the best

Before we go too much further with this can I asked what you are using after
effects for?
After effects is not normally used for editing video but more for
applying,err,effects to video.
If you want a simple application which allows you to edit video and output
to DVD you could always try Premier Elements. I know there are others out
there but I know my collegue swears by this one!

For what is called. 'Composite' work. Or, in short, effects. Its pretty
clunky for general editing. I take little bits and pieces and shoo them
over to AE. Say for example I want a bit of text to roller coaster over
someones head. Quick Text path and keyframe the movement and bingo,
roller coaster text.

For this moment, the movie is going to show on TV, mainly is some of my
personal video which to show my family who are in overseas. My parents
don't know how to use computer but they have a DVD player. I think it
is a good way to show them some of the memorable moment "with
movement". (I have done the photo album VCD, and played beautifully on
domestic DVD player.) However, I was a digital media student, it is
also good to show them what I have learnt from school. Futhermore, I
think it is never enough if only learn from school. :P
I can use Premeir too but just have the same knowledge as in
AfterEffect. By the way, I just love the motion graphic, it is so
wonderful!

Did you mean Adobe Premier can directly output to DVD which can play on
TV? or it also needs a DVD authoring to go with it?

In Premeier Elements 4.0 you can create DVD's directly from PE - in fact, I
have watched my collegue create several!
Not sure what the $ price is but in the UK PE4.0 (full version) costs about
£50
