I recently brought a pack of DVD-RW 2X Princo discs.
My Pioneer DVD 720 recorder only recognizes these DVD's as DVD-R.
The Pioneer drive on my computer sees them as DVD-RW and can re-format
them.
I don't think I can trick the DVD Recorder into seeing them as DVD-RW
as it reads the disc each time I put it into the drive.
Does anyone know of a upgrade for the Pioneer DVR-720 DVD recorder?

As these act as DVD-RW Video discs I'm tossing up whether to keep them
or return them. The main disadvantage is that I can't format them as
DVD-VR discs.
If I delete a video program then I don't recover any disc space but I
think that also applies to discs formatted as DVD-RW Video.
