Got answers:

1) No special drivers from Pioneer
2) Nero 5.5.10.42 (13MB download update, free from www.nero.com but you
need your registration key from an older 5.5)

Registry corruption eventually fixed. Email me for details if you need.

: Having bought a near-new A06, I'm seeking input on 3 points:
:
: 1) are there drivers from Pioneer that I should have got from the seller,
or
: the website - URL?
:
: 2) I've got Nero 5.5.9.14 which comes with A05. What's needed to have this
: recognise A06 as a burner? URL?
:
: 3) The A06 comes with Sonic Solutions burner s/w. This seemed to me to be
: unable to handle a CD to CD copy, asking for a blank DVD. Any comments or
: experiences.
:
: What do A06 users use for their data work?
:
: BTW, when I uninstalled Sonic's DLA to allow me to install Nero, I got my
: registry corrupted - with a Code 19 on the Device Manager Properties. I've
: tried the Regedt32 fix, and got the rest of the Sonic stuff unistalled
using
: network access, but my Win2k still can't install ANY CD-ROM driver -
yikes.
: A fast repair using the Win2K install CD failed to fix the driver, and a
: probably registry fault is suggested. Anyone point to some suggestion?
:
: Your's in a meaure of frustration and concern
