I just did this. PVR-250 -> SVCD, and I think the results are very
nice looking. I know that a still doesn't do it much justice, plus
there's the whole interlacing thing, but here's a still frame from my
rendered SVCD compliant MPEG file.: http://dormcam.org/pvr250.jpg
That is from an analog NTSC Television broadcast.
Hm, that's odd. I can open my PVR 250 captures just fine in
Pinnacle Studio 8 and VirtualDub-MPEG2. I haven't really tried any
other programs, but I would think they would open the files too.
If you've had bad luck with your PVR 250, I'm sorry. But I'm quite
happy with mine.
