What processor have you got - are you trying to compress audio
at same time (don't).

Can you use PICVideo MJPEG at Q19 setting successfully (it
doesn't use as much CPU as HUffyuv and the data rates are
much slower)

PS I've used Huffyuv on p2-400 at 352x576 on Win98.
I still use Win98 today but on a lightly faster machine :-)
