I am using this to create a DVD of slides. How do I change the
duration of each slide on the screen?

Double click your Picture Compilation in the Project Overview window
(probably top left). In the Picture Compilation Properties window
(probably at the top right), select the Slides page. There's a Length
field there you can use to change the display duration of all slides
in the compilation.

Oh yeah. I'll add that if you want a bit more versatility (and a bit
more work), you can import the images into Vegas, adjust them
individually, and render the entire compilation as a movie, which you
can then put into DVD Architect.
