Anyone happen to know any programs that will take a video file, add a
watermark to the video, encode and compress it to a .flv format, and
then upload it to an FTP site, all while being able to place it in a que?

Mac or windows, no matter.

what format is flv? is that flash video? would something like avitoswf
be helpful ? I haven;t used it but someone on the phone mentioned it. It is
open source stuff...

Several flv making programs exist on the market like Sorenson Squeeze.
But I haven't found any that allow you to set up a encoder PC on your
local network, who's job was to encode a .flv video, add in a watermark,

Yes, I can do all of these things manually, however, the client has
hundreds of videos, and this task would be a nightmare without some kind
of automated system.

I want to be able to just drop in the video file, and a render machine
would take it from their.

Yes.. I understand.. a good task to automate.
might need to encode them all to a drive and write an app or a script to
toss them up to the site.
