Using Handbrake with Portable Media Player
Posted by TomRossi7 on February 9th, 2007

I have a little portable media player (Nextar Macvision MC1007). It
says that it can play MP4s, but when I rip a DVD using the MP4
settings of Handbrake, I get no joy.

According to the documentation it supports:

MPEG-4 (*.avi), 30 fps at 720x480
Microsoft WMV (*.wmv), 30 fps at 352x288
Apple Quick Time 6 (*.mp4)
DivX 3.11 (*.avi), 30 fps at 352x288
DivX 4.x / 5.1, 5.2 (*.avi), 30 fps at 720x480 3

Any help is appreciated!

I've done this for both a Palm TX and a PSP. They are both picky about
the specific encoding. I'd suggest trying different formats under
Handbrake. Try transcoding one of the special features or such to keep
it short.
