In Vegas 6, I sometimes want to automatically have the video's audio
deleted when I delete the video event, e.g. during the first rough
editing. In other words, when I delete the video, I want to have its
linked audio deleted as well. Standard set-up is that the video and
linked audio are NOT grouped when deleting, only during moving. How to
do?

But then events on other tracks will be deleted as well, wouldn't they?

That's why I said to double-click the specific event.
One more thought. Make sure "Ignore Event Grouping" hasn't accidentally
been enabled.
