- VHS Tape costs equal DVD disc costs
- Posted by Brian on January 3rd, 2004
It's interesting that now the cost of DVD disc's have dropped in
price, the price of a good quality 3 hour VHS tape is equal to the
cost of a DVD-RW disk and using SVCD you can store 3 hours or more of
video programs on the DVD-RW disc.
I can see desktop DVD recorders with built-in tuners becoming popular.
Many advantages
not destroyed by magnetic field
Last longer
Quicker to jump to a program
No tape jams
Smaller to store
Less wear
No need to rewind.
