video capture device, from composite to USB, for Linux
Posted by David Portabella on February 19th, 2008

Hello,

We need a video capture device, from composite to USB. For instance:

EASYCAP USB 2.0 DVD Studio Video Capture Device S-video & Composite
http://www.usbgear.com/CTX-002.html

Plextor PX-AV200U
http://www.plextor.com/English/products/px-av200u.html

However, we need the drivers to be available open-source for linux.
Are you aware of such a device?

Many thanks,
DAvid

Do a search through the "Capture Cards" listing. Don't
see how to search by the compatibility column, so you
will have a lot to sort through. It can list all those that
match your other requirements though, and you can check
the compatibility column yourself.

Luck;
Ken

You may find support for the others in the Linux support
links provided at the above, also.
