I don't know what would be keeping your burner from
being listed, did you check the dropdown arrow next
to the box?

You could use the advanced option to create an ISO
image, and burn that with your regular burning software.
( http://www.imgburn.com/ if you want a good free one.)

The options are accessed from a dropdown button on
the same page where the drives are listed, just below the
line that divides the page. The button is on the right and
looks like corporal's stripes.

Luck;
Ken

Although if this is the first time the OP tried to burn a DVD, maybe
what he has is actually only a CD burner.

It wouldn't be the first time that mistake has been made...

Agreed, that's a common newbie mistake.

Thanks for the info..........Do have a dvd burner and got the vid burned
with a third party program with the burner that Studio can't
find..........if only Corel had tech support to get the program I paid for
to work

I think on the ULEAD support site there are updates for some of the
programs that you can download. DVD Movie Factory has several
updates that upgrade it to the latest burners.

I'm glad I was wrong about the burner :-)

And glad that you've got it working fine.

BTW, which program did the job?

I don't believe it has anything to do with old programs and new dvd
burning drives. I use Studio 9 with a Dazzle snalog to digital converter
and my DVD RW drive (uses +R disks) is a fairly recent type. No problems
save slowness of reading tapes, conversion to AVI, rendering, then
writing a disk. Very slow. An hour of tape takes about 3 hours of
conversion to DVD. But it works with Sony DVD RW disk or an LG RW DVD disk.
