- VirtualDub Spotlight in rendered video.
- Posted by Corey Scheich on June 28th, 2004
I am working on a video that is made up of a few hundred rendered frames.
The scene contains Spot Lighting which has a bright center and fades out
from the edge of the spot cone. When making an uncompressed AVI the areas
lit by the spot lights show up with a smooth color transition. Yet when I
use apply codecs to it the spots become a bunch of ugly rings instead of a
smooth fade. Could anyone point me in the right direction on how to get a
smooth spot light fade on a compressed video. My intention is to have a
quality video in MPEG or Compressed AVI format.
Thanks,
Corey
