- Want to understand various in/output formats

Looking at a capture/edit software, can anyone enlighten what all the
various input/output formats/sizes are for? What would be the most
appropriate use for them?
Thanks!

This question is too vague to give you a meaningful response.
Please define "input/output formats/sizes", and give an example
of a standard within each classification that you're curious about.

Well I don;t know tyhe answers to all those qeustions but I can tell
you that the 320x240 , 352 x 240 , etc, are size ratios. SOme capture
cards are capable of a larger ratio which is better because it lets you
see more detail. The 16/24/32 bits are the amount of colours your screen
is capable of showing. You could spend A day reading that stuff alone,
because it also applies to computer display. The output formats are what
CODEC was used to encode the clip. Not sure why there is 30 fps as wel
as 29.97. Probably because there isn't much difference anyways.
Here, go to these websites and read. You can also enter alot of
terms into a search engine and find them too
