What do you use for video capturing?
Posted by ak on October 16th, 2004

I am thinking to buy AIW 9700 pro for capturing. Is it a good choice?

The TV&FM tuners and gaming acceleration are not necessarily. Basically I
need only capturing feature with highest possible quality. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

It certainly is a good product. However more focussed on your needs:
av to dv converters by Canopus may be right for you. They seem to be
of good quality.

OK, I am about to get an ADVC100, have LOTS of HDD space. What else will I
need to transfer VHS to a file.
Have burning software, but not sure how to store file from 1394 connection?
Obviously a NOOB to the video world. Have been retoring audio for several
years. Want to slowly work my way into video.
