- WinFast TV2000 XP - No sound control / No Mute while viewing, No sound when playing-back captured tv footage
- Posted by M.Stoica on February 9th, 2004
Very good card, but there is something "rotten" with the sound:
I do have sound in TV Mode, but "mute" and "volume" don't work.
Also, there is no sound when playing-back captured tv.
Everything seems ok, "Audio recording line" is set to TV Tuner Audio,
"Capture audio" is ticked. Not much else one can do.
The audio cable is connected to the motherboard.
Googled for answers, found some other "sound problems" but not quite
similar.
Thanks in advance for any help.

You might want to try the follwoing - move the audio cable from the line in
to the mic in. It worked for me - but I can't actually hear the sound while
capturing but at least the sound is then when I play back the captured file.
Or does the audio recording line give you the option to select "line in" ?

Thank you.
Yes, I had read you have the opposite problem, still not fixed ? Would have
preferred your problem
The card has neither "mic in", nor "line in" connectors. It is connected to
the sound card (motheboard built-in) with an audio cable.
I tryed all the options in the audio recording line, including "line in",
just to be sure. Nothing works.

Got the tv2000 xp pro version. Abit at7 max 2 mb/audigy 2 sound card.
My setting for sound...
audio out control lin/line in
audio record line/analog mixer
There are 2 boxes to check in settings.
Have updated software from their website. I notice there is JPEG/PNG/TIFF,
for snapshots, not only BMP.
My 2 cents

Did a dirty split the audio lead and sent to the line in / mic in at the
same time now have audio during capture and play back. But it shouldn't need
to be set up this way.

Thank you both for trying to help.
I guess I'll give it a try with the lead trick. Can't hurt.
