What you are looking at is not a slideshow in the sense of a "video
slideshow". This slideshow is being created by html coding. Particularly a
meta tag. Below is the html code where I point out the way the slideshow was
created.
<html>
<head>
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="6; URL=slides_musicphoto.htm">
--- Larry Johnson's response---
The above line tells the webpage the "http" address is "equivalent" to a
page which refreshes every "6" seconds, and that address is a page called
"slides_musicphoto.htm" apparently created by some Microsoft FrontPage 4.0
feature. This I gathered from the information in the meta tags listed below.
Within that FrontPage document is a script (probably ActiveX) which has
these pictures lined up inside it. Since this is an example of webpage
coding and not a video type file the slideshow cannot be transferred to
other video targets, i.e. WMV, MOV, AVI, etc.
--- End Larry Johnson's response ---
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<meta name="GENERATOR" content="Microsoft FrontPage 4.0">
<meta name="ProgId" content="FrontPage.Editor.Document">
<title></title>
<base target="_self">
</head>
<body bgcolor="#000000" text="#FFFFFF" link="#FFFFFF" vlink="#FFFFFF"
alink="#FFFFFF">
<p align="center"><img border="0" src="2images/18940.jpg" width="400"
height="300"></p>
<p align="center"><font face="Times New Roman" color="#FFFFFF" size="4">Will
September ever end for the evacuees...?</font></p>
<p align="center"><a
href="http://melvillehighschool.us/celebration/includes/contacts.htm"><font
face="Times New Roman" color="#FFFFFF" size="4">Contacts</font></a></p>
</body>
</html>
Since this is a very simple type of slideshow - picture changes at set
intervals with music (I am only assuming there is music due to the name of
the page "slides_musicphoto.htm". In spite of this I did not hear any music
whatsoever) you could use a simple interface such as Window Movie Maker to
create the slideshow in video form. All you need is the original pictures
and the music track. Set the picture duration to 6 seconds and overlay the
audio starting at the beginning. Export (Save) the project to video targets
of your choice.
Window Movie Maker has a complete set of easy to understand instructions
that are available from with the program at all times. I should be easy for
you to do.
