First off, I want to ask what is the NG for discussing the use of MS
Windows.
I am not a native English speaker, and not familiar with usenet news

I only know a few development forum like this one.
so I ask my question here first. can someone tell me what is the
counterpart forum for the discuss of using Windows as this forum is for
the discuss of win32 programming.
Next, here is my real problem: where did the contents ( all the
internet links )
of "Favorites" of IE6 stroe ? ( maybe in some folder or in some keys in
the registry ? )
My WinXP pro damaged after I reinstall it, it said that it can't
recognised
the HDD, the WinXP can't boot successfully. So I need to read and
backup
the data in the HDD from another Windows, everything is OK except that
I don't know
where to find the contents of "Favorites", can someone tell me what to
do ?
Besides, under the damaged WinXP I've installed VS 2005 and have set
some optin,
is it possible to export the option setting ?
Or can anyone even tell me how to repair my corrupted Windows ?
