We develop our product driver on Windows 2000,base on serial port.
we get lower level driver via calling IoGetDeviceObjectPointer succesfully
if the KB835732 is not installed.
But it will failed if KB835732 installed with the service packet 3.And if i
update to SP4,my driver works well.I want to know what is wrong with
it.Thanks!

Use PnP and register yourself as upper filter for Serial. Or use PnP device
interfaces.
