I have an annoying problem on Windows XP where my video mode resets
itself to 640x480 VGA mode about half the time when Windows starts up.
I then have to manually reset it back to 1600x1200 which always works.
It just seems to 'forget' about half the time. Just wondering if maybe
this is a driver problem or what....

I'd suggest you:
1) download the latest driver from their website or,
2) use the in-box driver or
3) Call their customer support for help.
