- bulkusb.sys performance again
- Posted by xxx on February 21st, 2008
Hi ,
thanks for your inputs on post
http://groups.google.co.in/group/mic...40 56492da1cf
With the suggestion i am able to sustain 262Mbits/sec in bulk mode
between my device and PC. that means i am able to get 8 packets of 512
bytes between two SOF.
but i am still far from max. What should i do to increase speed
further.
The device when fed data through CATC is able to sustain 11 packets
between two SOF. (this is what the performance report of device
say...)
Any suggestions?

Part of this depends on your host controller. Some host controllers are
simply poorly designed and cannot sustain more than about 30 MB/s, which is
what you are achieving.
Try this on a couple of different host controllers and see if your results
vary. We have been able to sustain 40-45 MB/s over a bulk pipe on some
motherboards, which is very near the theoretical maximum.
