I had previously posted a question about the "Use Printer Offline" setting
and wanted to know if this setting can programmatically be changed.
I still want to know this but I also would like to know if there is an issue
in Windows XP and TCP/IP printer ports?
I wonder why is Windows setting the printer use to offline after a reboot
and therefore disabling the language and port monitor from communicating with
the printer. Can anyone explain this???
I need to be able to reboot a PC and still reconnect to the print server
without user interaction. Right now I have to go into port configuration and
open configure ports without any change click OK and then set the printer to
"Use Printer Online".
Then the driver will initalize the Language Monitor and the printer will
continue to work.
I hope someone can help me with an explaination.
Thank you,
