HCT12 driver verifier test question of smartcard reader driver
Posted by Haikun on October 28th, 2004

Hello everyone:

When I did WHQL HCT12.0 test under WindowsXP SP2 with my Serial Smart Card
Reader driver, I met a strange phenomena .
During the cardreader test of driver verifier test, however, even after I had
tested all of the 5 PC/SC test card, and
before I do hibernate test, the ifdtest automatically passed.

When testing with an USB smart card reader, and this time, just after the
first hibernation, the test passed. Both USB and serial reader driver could
pass card reader test.I found the test log of driver verifier, only record 4
parts of card readers test log.

My question is:

Although the HCT seems that the Driver Verifier Test was passed,Is the
phenomena I described natural?
Is there any special rules i should comply with in the Driver Verifier Test?
How can I get the similiar ifdtest test log like the Card Reader Test?(
including the hibernationg log )

thanx in advance!!

Hi Haikun,

Unfortunately, the team that monitors this newsgroup for managed customers
doesn't offer support for WHQL. Your best bet would be to go to
http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/whql/r...s/support.mspx and choose the
support option that's best for you. I believe whqldt@microsoft.com is
going to be the alias you will want to use to email your question into.
The testing form they use can be found here:

us/IssueResolutionForm.exe

Please let me know if I can offer any additional assistance.
