Is anyone able to help me? I am exasperated trying to make my microphone
work.
Iam using XP sp2, have plugged the headset into the back of the computor, I
have sound recognition installed.
Sound is coming into the speakers okay. I cannot get the microphone box
checked in Volume Control.
I cannot get the computor to acknowledge the mike at all.
Does it mean I have to have a USB connected?
Please help/

If it is, you should go be able to go into the Sound control panel and
choose which device should be used as the primary recording and speaker
devices.
