Is NDISTest6.5 required for USB LAN Ethernet Device to get Windows Vista Logo?

Hi

Is NDISTest6.5 required for USB LAN Ethernet Device to get Windows
Vista Logo?

Detail Description of our problem:

NDISTest6.5

When we run the test from the DTM, it determines and run following
tests only.

1.Preconfig
2.ConfigCheck
3.PostConfig

ConfigCheck test fail for the device.

Fail Message: ConfigCheck.htm: 50027: USB drivers on Vista must use
Kernel Mode Driver Framework (Kmdf).

Our driver uses WDM and as per this test requirement USB driver must
use KMDF (Kernel Mode Driver Framework).

So please let us know NDISTest6.5 is the requirement for Windows Vista
logo program or not.

Thanks

Hi nitesh,
Ndis 6.5 Test is must to get certification.
and if u r using Ndis 6.0 at upper edge then port it to KMDF at lower edge.
then only test will pass.

Vjay

Hi Vijay,

Thanks for reply,

My Driver is NDIS 5.1 upper edge and WDM (USB) lower edge.
To get the logo,Is it require to port WDM(USB) lower edge to KMDF ?

Thanks
Nitesh
