PNPDTest problem
Posted by anlai on February 8th, 2007

Hi,
I met problem with the PNPDTest. Can anyone help me?

my DTM client:vista 64

I create a submission and scheduled the job PNPDTest.
But after reboot, the job failed with the following error

Failed to determine Pass/Failure of the task "Run Remove PNPDTest". Task
Will be marked as Failed anyway.
Failed to Parse the Logfile "" of Type "None" For Task "Run Remove PNPDTest"
Error Code 1025 (Unknown error (0x401))

Not as expected:
The first time the test is run, you will be prompted with a dialog box for
the location of the test filter driver (pnpfiltr.sys).

Besides,if i copy the PNPDTest.exe to the test client and run it manually,it
always tells :
To install the filter driver needs reboot, but after reboot,it does nothing!

Any one met such problem??

Try rescheduling the task from the DeviceConsole submission screen.
This failure is "the log file doesnt exist" usually (in my experience)
because the DTM has forgotten what device to test. (check the .cmd files
created on the client at c:\wtt\jobsworkingdir\tasks\SOMETASKNAME when the
job is running, they will be deleted when the job finishes)

Any luck resolving your problem ?

I tried re-installing the client, etc, but no luck. I get the same errors
as you. Life was good until those QFEs...
