Sure there is:
"How the WindowsXP Network Bridge Works"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/col...guy/cg0102.asp
"Windows XP Bridging and Media Support for Home Networking"
http://www.eu.microsoft.com/technet/...n/XPBrdgNt.asp
If you want to create a bridge "programmatically", you need to install
the bridge driver using the INetCfg interface. Do a search in Google
groups like "xp bridge programmatically".
I guess the XP bridge driver is an NDIS protocol driver (i.e. not an
IM), but I am not sure (never used it).
