I'm wondering what the current status is of the SDIO support for Windows XP.
Unluckily, I was not interested in the SDIO much last November when attended
the first Driver DevCon so missed the "How to Write the SDIO Device Driver"
session there. Now browsed through the presentation on the Proceedings CD
and e-mailed the presenter as well as the <sdbase@microsoft.com> but have
not heard back from them.
Basically, there is this SDIO adapter nearing shipment and we don't want to
be reduced to running it under the Windows CE only. We really need to
leverage lots of software running on Windows XP for the devices on other
busses into the SDIO device as well. Toshiba and others allegedly ship
laptops and tablets with the SDIO slots.
We heard that the SDIO bus driver might have shipped in Windows XP SP2.
Is that correct? How can we get on the SDIO DDK beta program if the SDIO
support is still in beta? It is Ok for us at this stage to use the beta
quality drivers rather than the gold software. Which laptop/tablet would
be the recommended one to use with the Microsoft Windows XP drivers?
Would appreciate the pointers into the right direction,
