Ultra VNC mirror driver
Posted by vipin on April 12th, 2005

Hi Guys,
Does the Ultra VNC mirror driver do more than what the ddk
sample video mirror driver does? Has anyone here had experience on this and
what all extra the Ultra VNC mirror driver does fucntionally with the mirror
driver.

Thanks a lot and look forward to conversation on this topic in the
newsgroup.

Are you using the mirror driver to stream the desktop to an app? If not,
do you know how to do that.
I'm trying to develop a way to stream the screen to use in a video
conference app.
I first tried to develop a WDM screen capture driver but many people
advised me not to do it that way. I heard about mirror drivers but I
dont have any experience with those so I'm looking for some advise now.

Ultra VNC does that,it makes use of mirror driver to do the streaming of the
desktop.
I was enquiring if someone here had experience doing similar stuff, to do
some talking on
the technicalities which Ultra VNC uses in its mirror driver, looks like no
one here has

Thanks

It's not quite true. We've developed a mirror driver similar to UltraVNC's one.
Moreother, i've been told by some customers that it is less buggy than original.
Feel free to drop me a private email for more details.
