- USB driver install problem
- Posted by Alan Tanaka on August 13th, 2003
I am able to install by USB driver for many external and
internal USB devices. However I am running into problems
when I try to install for this particular internal USB
device.
usb\devclass_00&subclass_00&prot_00,usb\devclass_0 0&subcla
ss_00,usb\devclass_00,usb\composite
Anyone knows what 00 for devclass, subclass and protocol
mean ?
Thanks.

If you have 0x00 in the device descriptor, for class, subclass and protocol,
it means they are covered in the individual interface descriptors. So, this
would seem to mean, ignore all these, it is a composite device and covered
elsewhere. Whether it is saying that correctly or not is another matter.
What kind of device is this?
I would expect to see something like USB\VID_XXXX&PID_XXXX in there too.
