Hi alady lion,
It sounds exactly as if your right and left mouse buttons have been switched.
You would wwitch them back in your Everquest ingame settings if it was only
happening inside the game, however since it's also happening on your desktop
you need to switch them back this way, and then run a Virus scan since there
is one non-malicious (joke) virus out there that could cause this behaviour.
Click START > Control Panel > Mouse (in Classic view)
Click Restore defaults if you have that option in your Button Tab or
manually set your Left Button to "Click (default) and your
Right Button to "Right Click"
The above instructions may differ slightly depending on your mouse drivers.

Hi alady lion,
Since that problem just started happening recently, try a System Restore.
How to use Windows XP System Restore:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...temrestore.asp
Afterwards, please reinstall your game before playing it on the restored system, as
the game is obviously corrupting the integrity of your Windows installation.

STOP !!! Don't change your settings .... yours is a 1 button fix.
When your in game press the F12 key. F12 activates & de-activates mouse
control in Everquest.
