Hi titus12,
You might need to configure your joystick buttons using the HL2
controller configuration setup. If you still have problems with the
firing button in the game, test the controller in the Control Panel >
Game Controllers applet. Lastly try manually configuring it using
the software available directly from the good folks at Thurstmaster:
