Helicopter USB simulation hardware
Posted by Gav on February 1st, 2006

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find (affordable) helicopter USB simulation
hardware for games such as Microsoft Flight Sim 2004?

I guess the main components would be:
1. Cyclic (yoke)
2. Collective & throttle lever
3. Foot pedels

I can use my joystick for the cyclic.

Here's an expensive example of what I'm after (very cool though):
www.simcontrol.co.uk/newheli.htm (for 2,000 punds!)

Thanks!

This: http://www.flyelite.com/hardware.php?product_id=38 looks totally
awesome. 8-)

Otherwise might have a look at
http://www.aviationsimulation.co.uk/bundles.htm could also try asking on
some Flight Simulator forums, like flightsim.com etc

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the info.

The 1st link looked awesome, but v expensive; also designed for plane rather
than helicopter. The 2nd link looked pretty good, but is still out of my
price range.

I'd like to find something sub $1000.
This need not be in a frame with a seat etc, just the components would
suffice.
I'd also prefer the Collective lever to have a throttle built in to make it
more realistic.

Thanks,
Gav

Fraid I'm not much use. I'd still be using the mouse if they hadn't forced
me into buying a joystick. 8-)

Try asking in the .simulators group too.
