Is it the setup program telling you to put the install disc back in?
To me it sounds like you're running the installer - it asks for the next
disc, which you insert and the autorun program kicks off - as the install
isn't complete it tells you to install. While the installer is in the
background waiting for an OK to finish the install.
Try this; when you insert the play disc hold down the shift key while the
drive is spinning up. Then press OK on the installer.
Failing that try installing in safe mode, to do this reboot your machine and
just before the Windows XP logo comes up press the F6 key several times, you
should then get a menu presenting you with several options choose safe mode.
This will make the machine boot up with minimum components needed - so
things may look a little freaky. Then try running installing the game.
Reboot the machine to bring it back to normal which should hopefully let you
play it.
Failing that, see if you can test the discs out on someone else's machine to
ensure they're not faulty.
