- Transfer from one hard drive to another
- Posted by shoulderhead on January 3rd, 2008
Hello,
Our daughter uses our old PC (XP SP2) to play games on. It's original hard
drive was only 16GB but we have added an 80GB 2nd hard drive (slave).
One of her games (Sims 2) is on original hard drive, but is now unable to
load extras as has not enough space.
Is there any way we can simply shift the whole lot onto the bigger hard
drive without her losing all her saved families etc?
Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance, Sh

I'm pretty sure you could save certain files (game save) and transfer them
to a new installation on the new hard drive, but you should contact the
support section for the game for the specific details.

My daughters did that maybe a year or so ago, but I don't remember the
procedure well enough to tell you exactly. The support folks will be able
to guide you properly.
