I GOT THE JOB!!!!
i don't know how, but i did!
i walked into the office, and they showed me the dwg which was all marked up with the revisions they wanted me to make; increase certain elevations by .15m [i had to edit the block's attributes], calculate the slope of a specific area based on the revisions to the elevations, change the elevation of a building on the site [by editting the text], shrink the ponding area to what they'd drawn in on the dwg [using pedit] and then calculate the area in m2, eliminate the slope along the edge of the property and add a retaining wall
it wasn't hard, but i was nervous, and i'm used to looking at architectural dwgs, not civil-engineering dwgs, so i had to take a double look at things and get myself re-aquainted with everything...
neways, things went well i guess cuz around 3:00 i got the call saying i got the job, and that i was to show up monday at 8:30am.... yay!!!
so, thanks to all [ryan, josh, paul, don, rudy, carol, 'private', michael, and anyone else i missed!!!]for ur help, words of advice and encouragement!!!

ps. yay!!! i have a job!!!!!

YAY!!
Have fun with it, and learn everything you possibly can about engineering
drawings. Good CAD people are *really* hard to find, and the pay can go
through the roof.

Nice work...
So what are you going to spend the money on?
A new stainless steel custom bathtub? Some additions to the wardrobe?
Four star dining? An I-Got-The-Job celebration cocktail party?
Something for the kids? Get a wheel alignment on the car?
A bottle of B&B? A Mac G5? :-)

Congratulations!!
Coming from and architectural background, I know what you mean when
confronted with Engineering drawings... a little bit of an adjustment.

Interesting to see you've ostensibly changed your mind. :-)
