Hi all,

I have managed to log in through Google Groups for the time being with
a view to posting this message.

My usual news service (or possibly thunderbird 1.0.2) is apparently
taking issue with the firewall here at work for no particularly good
reason.

I have noticed that there have been a number of helpful replies to
threads which I have started recently, so this note is an apology for
my lack of response until now.

When I return to my home connection (over the weekend) I will be sure
to reply to all, but for the short term this Google Groups interface -
whilst convenient, up-to-date and most notably, free - is a pain in the
proverbial to return large numbers of responses in a hurry.

Unless I manage to sort out this problem before then that is.. (and I
wouldn't be holding your breath if I were you.. <grin>)

At any rate, apologies again for my lack of response - the answers to
my questions really are noted and appreciated.

You will hear from me again soon, but in the meantime I lurk...
