Can someone help me?

I can make banners that look like the ones that are professionaly done
(thank you very much from the last comment from my other post I left.)
I just need a free file cruncher. Please don't go off swearin if you
don't like my site just say "hey I don't like your site" and if other
people don't like it then I will change it's THAT simple (amazin huh?).
So please if somebody would provide me with a link or sumthin to a free
file cruncher that would be very appreciated!

Just because Hatter replied to your previous post isn't a legitimate
reason to start a new thread for the same question. In fact, he gave you
the answer you need.

Oh, if you're wondering why you won't get the answer in a more polite
way... Advertising lines like "why would you want to spend money on a
simple graphic?" and "I got tired of having to pay for internet banners"
tell us enough about what kind of person you are.

Erik

ps. hey I don't like your site

P.P.S. What the godcrap is a "file cruncher?" Is that similar to the
children's cereal with a benevolent mariner clad in a large blue hat
pictured on the front?

Oh, no, that was CAPTAIN CRUNCH. My bad.

Please understand that we all--some of us secretly and some of us
openly--wish you the best of success in your lifelong search for fame
and fortune through the creation of fugly banner ads, but what you did
here was akin to wandering into a neurologist's office and asking him if
he had a spare "brain surgery machine."

Not only does such a thing NOT EXIST, but it is an affront to the man's
entire profession to naively assume that he might give you this magical,
automatic, completely free reason never to support his business and
career.

Now finish your cereal and get moving, you're going to miss the school
bus.

I gotta know - how bad was it and why is everyone so pissed off at
him?? His post just sounded like he was asking a simple question and is
guilty only of being a total newbie.

Works 'fine' here:

http://www.freewebs.com/freebannercreator/

tho I suppose it depends on your definition of 'fine'.

It's just newbie kid type stuff, but you know /some/ people around here
just have issues.

Good luck to him I say.

Hi. Try googling for "gif compressor".

I don't know of any free GIF compression programs, it's unlikely to find
any because the compression algorythems used by GIF are patented by
Unisys and they like money. Have a read of
http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html if you're interested.

I find the background colour and text colour makes your site very
difficult to read, and all the banners all on one page becomes quite
distracting.

The site is up again. I guess he was uploading a new version when you've

I never comment on newbie/amateur posts just because he/she is or seems
to be. In this case the poster clearly states on his website he doesn't
have any respect for the people in this group (assuming the majority
design to make a living). That doesn't have anything to do with a newbie
status.

Hey thanks you guys for the suggestions I am working on some color
schemes to make the site more readable and workin with some
javascripting language to get more interactivity to the site. I
appreciate the people that gave me suggestions on how to change the
site or told me they just didn't like it without going off on me. I
take all suggestions on my site I just don't like it when people just
starting blowing up it's just a website and some graphics put together
in the vast majority of things. Also I do not understand how people say
I don't have respect. I'm not sure what that is suppose to mean but I
will not dwell on it. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and to the
people who answered my question. Wish you all the best of luck with w/e
your workin on.

Now I see what "everyone" was pissed about. Yeah, you're being
disrespectful about it. Why spend money for a simple graphic? While I
have nothing against n00bs, and creating art for fun, I *do* have
something against the attitude you take on your site.

If you give a shit about offending the pros out t/here, don't use the
phrase "why would you want to spend money on a simple graphic?" If
you're giving the banners away for free just the word "FREE" should be
enough, shouldn't it? Why malign those who work their asses off on
those "simple graphics?" It's what pays our bills and btw, before
everyone had the ability to buy a fucking Dell, graphic art was just
that - an ART.

But to come in here, asking questions on how to do something, for a
site that busts our asses? And then not get how you're being dick-y in
your attitude? Yeah, um . . . fuck off. (You're not sure what it's
supposed to mean?? Damn, d00d! It's been explained several times!! Are
you *really* that fucking dense??)

And before you whine about getting beat up on, think about it. Aren't
the majority of the posters here getting pissed?? Maybe something to
think about?? If you want to take that bullshit blurb off your site,
you'll find that we can be extremely helpful and supportive.

And FWIW, I think I had a fucking epilectic fit looking at your
background. Hope you have a good lawyer. And I sincerely hope that
visitors to your site know that they get what they pay for.

Okay so a lot of people in this group are gettin offended about my site
WOW! Every other person I have talked to people who are web designers
support the idea 100% I mean come all I am offering are banners that
will make maybe a .0005% dent with all the web designers out there
(there is approximatly 3 million based of google). I will change some
things on the site about how I word things and hopefully people will
relax a tad bit. I won't be able to get that done tonight though
because I am working on a site that some of my friends and I have
started creating (and guess what! More free stuff!). So I hope this
covers some things up but I know I will be bashed some for a while.
Well thanks for the people who gave suggestions (no matter how harsh
lol it helped).

You're *STILL* missing the point, so I'll give you an assist:

No shit, Sherlock. Now, see, I'm taking offense because you still lack
that wee little thing called "humility" and "gratitude." It's appalling
that you seem to still think that it's amazing that you take a pissy
attitude AND act like we're being unreasonable.

Then why don't you ask *THEM* for help? Too, perhaps they like the
*idea* and haven't seen the bullshit text on your site.

You're offering free banners, no prob. It's the bullshit attitude "why
spend money on a simple graphic?" that gets us. If it's that simple,
why the hell are you here, hand out, begging for help?

The last thing any of us needs is some bullshit artist taking the
attitude that what we do is *simple* - whether or not you're smart
enough to get it, you're bashing us and our efforts on your site.
*THEN* you come here looking for a free handout of info (Google,
any-fucking-one???), expecting us to take the time from our projects to
help your sorry ass, all the while you're being disrepectful.

Look at it this way: I come to your house, and start taking your stuff,
all the while criticising it's quality, what it's worth and so on, and
THEN I ask you to help me take it out to my car.

You wouldn't be offended?? Ever heard of the phrase "adding insult to
injury?"

Will your basic attitude change, as well? If not, don't bother.

Wow! Like OMG! How cool!

Not.

At this point, I feel no need to be nice. So I'm gonna be blunt. Your
banners are shitola. You're just offering *more* shit to unsuspecting
consumers. It's still just plain ol shit. Just more of it.

I've got some dog shit in my backyard . . . want some? No? How about a
*whole lot* of dog shit? Sound more enticing? No?

Unless your attitude changes, yeah, you will be. But it's all right.
We've had some fun at your expense.

Now go get your web designer friends to help you and bugger off.

Actually I'm just laughing at your inane stupidity. I actually think
you're helping the graphic design community more than hurting it. I
mean you're running around telling people that it's not worth it "to
spend money on a simple graphic" and that they should be able to have
it for free...when what you're offering (for free) is complete and
total fucking trash. No offense, Junior, but my fuckin grandma
tripped out on Vicodin and spazzin at the mouse in MS Paint could make
a more professional lookin banner than you could.

By showing the world what kind of banner they can get for free
(absolute shit quality) you're essentially PROVING that it's worth it
"to spend money on a simple graphic". After all, if some bumblin
fuckin retard like you using high end software like PSP9 can't even
manage to make a decent looking banner, then it's OBVIOUSLY not the
software.

Oh, coincidentally, most all of my graphics were done in PSP6. ^_^

And by "web designers" you're referring to all your tweeny bopper
friends in junior high with MySpace pages? LOL

....seriously, how old are you kid, like...12 I'm guessing? Your
parents aren't letting you surf unsupervised, are they?

Actually FAR LESS than that considering your banners look like
absolute fucking crap. Maybe if you were offering free banners that
actually LOOKED GOOD you might be causing a problem...but otherwise,
nah, yer simply proving the point that many of us professionals and
artists try to make every day.

Have fun kid, someday when you're older you'll look back on all this
and have a good laugh at yourself.
