Does anyone need any clipart, i will try to meet your requests and i am cheap

Posted by cpg on November 12th, 2003

I need a gypsy woman gazing into a crystal ball. She should be sitting
in a lawnchair, hunched over a small card table that is in need of
repair. She needs to be wearing a paisley cape and one of those old
lady hats that have the netting in the front. She should have a "devil
woman" look in her eyes.

This will be used as an icon for my fortune-telling software so please
make it 16px by 16px. If it turns out well, we may also use the
graphic on billboards and possibly on those scrolling messages that
you see on the newer blimps with the big lighted screens.

thanks a bunch.

Gaz, they're just yankin your chain. Offering to do "clipart"
doesn't make sense. If someone needs an illustration they
need to be paying for custom illustration, be it an icon, a line
drawing of an object or whatever. To sell "clipart" you need to
go ahead and create those images, get a hold of some legal
info (usage agreements) for sales purposes, and set up to
sell your prefabricated clipart (online or otherwise) to multiple
users. Clipart by its nature is not custom work.

I'm just playing with you, Gaz. If you're looking to do some
cheap/free work, contact some worthy non-profits and charities in your
local area. I assure you they are much more deserving of your time
than some random Usenet clown such as myself.

what about emoticons? I have a coffee forum and I wanted the smiley faces on
coffee cups unstead! They really would be 16x16, maybe bit bigger, atleast if
you try a couple its not much work lost if I don't go ahead with it. Be about 20
all up!

Not so farfetched a request as you might think.

I create 100x100 pixel fantasy sports logos. One client asked for a
bleacher full of fans with signs for strikeouts, etc. And each of the
fans pictured needed to be caricatures of all the guys in the fantasy
league.

He settled for two generic, beer swilling guys holding one sign.
